"We'll Meet Again"
recorded by Lorraine Foster in 1999, showcases 14 wonderful songs written
mostly from 1938 to 1945, with selections by Harry Warren, Julie Styne, Johnny Mercer,
Cole Porter, Ted Heath, Erskine Hawkins, Sammy Fain and Rube Bloom. These songs were
all big band hits from the War years and two of them pay tribute to the great Vera
Lynn. Lorraine's favourite cut is 'London By Night (Ted and Moira Heath)/A
Nightingale Sang In Berkley Square, accompanied by Oliver Jones. |

'Beautiful Canada' is a great CD of 28 songs written by Bob & Helen Roberts of Vancouver. It is recorded with the 'big band sounds' of the Dal Richard's Orchestra and vocals are performed by Dal, Lynne McNeil and Peter Chipman. This song 'Beautiful Canada' is distinctly Canadian in form and very descriptive of our great country so it became the title song on this CD. It includes the great vocal styling of Canadian singers Peter Chipman and Lynne McNeil, and even sports the rarely recorded voice of the great band leader himself, Dal Richards.
