Dicey Reilly:
CLICK HERE TO ORDER Is a great collection of 14 Celtic and Irish folk songs recorded
in 1996 by the Celtic group of the same name from Halifax, Nova Scotia. They were formed
in the early 1990's by 5 friends who enjoyed playing and singing in this traditional
style. Employing the traditional guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin, this group deftly
combines their vibrant vocals with the bouzouki, tin whistle, flute and spoons and even
incorporates a children's choir. Nova Scotia audiences have been thrilled with Dicey
Reilly's lively mix of Irish and Maritime traditional ballads, songs and instrumentals,
and recently performed to packed houses during the East Coast Music Awards Festival in
Halifax. Performing mainly in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Dicey Reilly has also
shared the stage in Halifax with Liam Clancy (of The Clancy Brothers fame) and Evans &
Doherty. Fast establishing their musical reputation in Nova Scotia, Dicey Reilly
provides a fine example of Celtic folk music by these skilled musicians.
