Forster's 'Collected Ramblings: Gipp's book has been a popular
seller since hitting the bookshelves in Victoria in 1990. The book is a collection
of 200 pages of Gipp's most popular 'ramblings' which are regularly featured on his radio
program in Canadian cities. The book includes a forward by noted Canadian
broadcaster, Roy Bonisteel and sketches are by Canadian artist Glenn Matthews. Gipp
Forster's 'Collected Ramblings' is the perfect companion to Gipp Forster's Christmas
cassette, and will delight families all year round. Gipp Forster is well known as a radio broadcaster, author and poet throughout Canada & the United States. His 'Ramblings' radio vignettes have been broadcast across North America, and 'It Feels Like Christmas', a series of minute long stories about the Christmas spirit, charm listeners in more that 75 cities each year. The 60 year old Forster is a man who speaks like a wizened and grizzled Father Time, but his soliloquies are infused with the exuberance of the New Year's baby. |

He learned the joy
of living and his genuine love of humanity by wandering the highways and countryside for
more than a decade. His storied past includes stints at various careers in
Australia, New Guinea, Fiji and Hawaii, working at a ski resort, a coffee plantation and a
nightclub he owned for several years, where he would perform some of his better known
songs and poems. Gipp cut three albums and performed alongside such well known personalities as Pat Paulsen and Rolf Harris, before joining the ministry and heading a 'street church' in Victoria, BC. Gipp also spent several years as a radio host and of course, published this book of his 'Collected Ramblings'. Gipp lives in Victoria with his wife Donna, and is deeply involved in prison ministry and as an outreach Pastor with a Baptist church. |
