Ilene is best known to audiences as Marsha Owens, the Mom on the long running ABC comedy MR. BELVEDERE but she made her professional debut on the musical stage in PROMISES, PROMISES by Neil Simon and Bacharach and David. She went on to play Sandy in the Broadway production of GREASE. Her biggest triumph was creating the role of Cleo in the Cy Coleman, Michael Stewart musical comedy hit I LOVE MY WIFE, directed by Tony Award winner Gene Saks. She can be heard on the show's Original Cast Album. |
Before landing the role
of Bob Uecker's wife on MR. BELVEDERE, Ilene starred in other series and several
pilots. She has guest starred on shows such as; TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, SISTERS,
THREE'S COMPANY, LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY, MORK AND MINDY, ST. ELSEWHERE and REMINGTON
STEELE. In addition to appearing in several Movies-of-the-Week, she shared the
screen with Rodney Dangerfield in the feature film, LADYBUGS. |

| Ilene
has been a frequent guest on game and talk shows including $100,000 PYRAMID,
HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, WIN LOSE OR DRAW, ARSENIO HALL, and LIVE WITH REGIS AND
KATHIE LEE. Ilene is a
regular co-host of Variety Club Children's Charities Telethons in Los Angeles,
Philadelphia and Iowa, and is an Ambassador for Variety International. She's been
proud to perform at fundraising events for many worthwhile causes such as The Michael
Landon Tucson Tennis Classic, Big Sisters, and The South Coast Repertory Theatre.
Ilene regularly sings the National Anthem for the
Dodgers, Angels, Clippers and L.A. Kings. |

| Ilene's
Musical Director/Conductor/Arranger is her husband Ben Lanzarone. They met while
doing GREASE, which Ben conducted. Now a busy Hollywood composer, Ben
has won the prestigious ASCAP Film and Television Award as one of the Most Performed
Composers. He is a piano virtuoso who has concertized throughout the country, as
well as playing, conducting or arranging for artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Petula
Clark. Ilene and Ben have a
beautiful daughter Nikka, who also loves to sing and dance. |
